We are excited to share this collaboration with Diego Bucchieri at Cleaver Skateboards. We grew up watching him drop hammers here in SF where he truly left his mark as a skater. Last time he visited SF, he brought his bike and got to discover the city all over again, making work of the hills in a new way.
Cleaver MASH boards are available in 3 shapes. Limited to 50 boards total. 8.25, 8.375, and 8.625 cruiser shape.
From Diego:
I was introduced to fixed gear bikes by some of my friends in Argentina who were into it. I always thought that track bikes looked cool and the fact that they have no brakes made them even more interesting.
By the time I got to build my first bike, I started to get more and more into the whole community piece of it, and that is when I was introduced to Mash SF. I knew Gabe Morford, from my SF days, who also filmed some of their first videos with Mike. He told me that while in SF, I should go visit the shop. So, in 2015, I visited the shop for the first time and I got the same feeling as when I walk into a skater owned skateshop. I looked at all the cool stuff they had, bought some Tees, hats, but I feel in love with their Parallax frame.
Soon after, John Cardiel, told me that I should hit up Mike Martin (owner of Mash SF) to get one. So, I did.
We started sending texts back and forth, until in mid 2016, I was able to go back to SF, finally meet Mike in person and get my precious Parallax frame built. I also got to meet Chas Christiansen, who’s one of the gnarliest and coolest dudes alive. Those guys made me feel like part of their family.
Riding that bike around the city, even though I almost died one day (literately), are some of my favourite memories. I also got to ride with my all-time hero, John Cardiel, which was the cherry on the cake.
Ever since then, we have been connected. I even made a Parallax graphic board for Cleaver (“Bars”), but I always wanted to do something else. So, a few months back, I reached out to Mike to see if he would be down to do a collab board and immediately say “Yes”. A few days later the boards were being produced.
