KYLE MURPHY

We met Kyle though Walton, and the group of students at CCA from Portland. He made his mark at our shop opening race. Kyle ended up winning our race on a Kilo TT with a broken saddle. Check him HERE at: 5:25 smashing 14th Street for the win. He won the cash prize from Incase, and immediately bought this Cinelli Unicanitor saddle.

Our shop was robbed shortly after we opened in 2011, and this frame was a remnant from that moment. The thieves broke the window, and pulled this frame out, throwing it onto the street to get to the complete bikes. It had Kyle’s name written all over it.

Kyle went on to scratch his initials into each piece of his bike, If it was ever stolen, and parted out, he could always track back his KM marking.

Last summer Kyle put in work racing on the road, and extended the season into the cyclocross season here in the Bay Area.

Walton gave Kyle this small decal while they both lived in Portland. It is redeeming to look back at these small symbols, and think of how connections are made, and bonds are built. Our team is a group of friends, and that is the only way a rider is ever added to the roster.

Look for Kyle to debut in his first Red Hook event, race along side friends, and his Brother Evan in New York this March!
