Cross Vegas 2012 Sep 20, 2012 Categories: MASH Frames 0 Comment Historically the best part of Interbike happens outside the trade show. With Cyclocross races, Crit races, and Alleycats all happening, we have been happy to help support the riders who want to get out of the casinos, and log miles on the streets, and the dirt. The course is a well manicured soccer complex, with a few hills, and obstacles built on site. Kyle raced in the USA Men’s 1/2/3’s and the heat was relentless. He finished 4th with a head cold. Nice work! As the sun set, the Wheeler/Dealer group lined up at the start, packing a 160 person field. Craig stomped the pack again on a single speed. Sorry for the lack of a full race report. More words HERE. Dave from Giro dropping in the tabletop. As the sun went down, Dylan raced W/D and placed 7th in the Single Speed group. Not much natural light provided, but it is Las Vegas, so they are not short on artificial light. Next up were the Elite Women, who CRUSHED! Really exciting to see these athletes destroy. The Pro Men closed the event, and the field was full of the leaders in the sport. The fans were ready. Jeremy Powers broke out, and won the event. That was exciting and all, but some of us were caught up with the air show that was happening on the 12 foot tabletop. Sometimes it’s worth signing up just to ride the obstacles. Good Night!
