Amsterdam details #2

Simple timeless signage

These antique box bikes are everywhere. Several have been converted into cafes.

Pop-up shop?

Bummed we missed this pop-up. Walton! Bring some beans back when you come back to SF!

Every corner looks like this. Every damn one.

You could spend 6 months here just going to strange bike shops. This one was 1/2 autozone, and 1/2 bikezone.

Would love to bring the Tour of California show here.

Next stop was Patta / Ben G to pick up a board. They are friends with Brad and Will, and was happy to support their shop.

The shop has a great vibe on a rainy day. Blind video days on the TV, my son singing lowrider in the corner.

I did not fly with a board, and there are a ton of parks, and ramps, so needed to make it happen. It was the most expensive board I have bought in 10 years, but what it will bring to my peace of mind will be worth it. These guys are the distributers for Skate Mental, so ended up supporting a brand from Berkeley, brought to Amsterdam, now back to SF.

Parra is part of their family

Some of you may know my Vizsla Jesse. I have known her for 13 years, but in that time I never met a wire haired Vizsla until today.

Not sure what this means?

Stopped to add some MASH love to this sticker door. Am also traveling with sticky art from Benny Gold, HOC, Flowrider, Incase, Lvfixed, and a few other folks who have sent us stickers this year.

Garrett’s dear friend Ido has a shop here in Amsterdam called 290 Square Meters. Garrett lived here for seven years as part of the London Police. Ido and his family really shine here. It was clear from the moment we walked in the door, that they have a really bright community here.

290 Square Meters is the only shop in Europe to carry my clothing project MARTIN. Here is a detail from our short rain trench.

It’s supposed to rain all week here, so will update when I can. Next will check out Pristine, and see Juliette off on her 3 month ride around this continent. More from that journey tomorrow!
