DFL FINAL 2012 Oct 1, 2012 Categories: MASH Frames 0 Comment Saturday marked the final DFL race of the season, with an East Bay AM location. Derek won this first one, and Walton picked up the next two, so the large group was up early to see how the season would wrap up. Enclosed are several moments from the hour that closed out the series. Walton raced as the series leader. There was only one rule about the leaders jersey. Do not wash it. Racers Ready? Go! Kathleen went on to with the Women’s series as she recovered from a broken collar bone. Welcome back! DFL Dry Cleaning Kyle and Walton locked it down, taking turns leading the group. Walton dominated the technical, and Kyle set the pace on the long straights. Dylan running up on the last lap. It takes moments like these to realize just how wrong/right this series is. Walton took the win, and the series. Kyle took second for the day. Ramone did not want to get out of character when it was all done. Souvenirs from Giro and Interbike Kyle broke in his new Cinelli Zydeco with a burner. The sun came out for the 18th annual DFL awards ceremony. Another year, another unique trophy for the winners. Until next year, thanks to all the organizers and athletes for keeping DFL, and it’s long standing traditions, fun.
HIGH FUNCTIONING OBJECTS OF ART Sep 29, 2012 Categories: MASH Frames 0 Comment Sometimes we build bikes with high functionality, but we still enjoy looking at them as objects of art. Enclosed is just such a build.

DFL #3 2012 Sep 26, 2012 Categories: MASH Frames 0 Comment Gabe headed out to McLaren Park for the third installment of the 2012 DFL Series. As the fog settled in for the evening, racers lined up. As we have mentioned before, you can race for free in drag, or pay $5 and get heckled in your kit. Enclosed are a series Gabe shot throughout the evening. Rainier and Walton off the start, and laughing. Rocks are abundant on this course. Serious run-up for some of the not so serious. Atmospheric Prospectives provided by the San Francisco Fog Bank. Daniel is taking the season off the bike, but was on hand to hell at his teammates. Rainier enjoying some stoke from the sidelines. Blake getting chased by something incredibly funny. Walton won last week, so raced in the coveted yellow blouse. One of those magical moments that come from racing at DFL. Rainier must have found a deal in the Burning Man bin at the thrift store. Walton coming back down last lap, ginger fully flowing. At the end of the night, Walton was able to hold on the the yellow, with his second win in the 4 part series. Rainier placed 2nd for the night. Not sure this is what Oakley had in mind when they signed up to support these athletes, but knowing they are into the good stuff, we can only guess they get it!

Cross Vegas 2012 Sep 20, 2012 Categories: MASH Frames 0 Comment Historically the best part of Interbike happens outside the trade show. With Cyclocross races, Crit races, and Alleycats all happening, we have been happy to help support the riders who want to get out of the casinos, and log miles on the streets, and the dirt. The course is a well manicured soccer complex, with a few hills, and obstacles built on site. Kyle raced in the USA Men’s 1/2/3’s and the heat was relentless. He finished 4th with a head cold. Nice work! As the sun set, the Wheeler/Dealer group lined up at the start, packing a 160 person field. Craig stomped the pack again on a single speed. Sorry for the lack of a full race report. More words HERE. Dave from Giro dropping in the tabletop. As the sun went down, Dylan raced W/D and placed 7th in the Single Speed group. Not much natural light provided, but it is Las Vegas, so they are not short on artificial light. Next up were the Elite Women, who CRUSHED! Really exciting to see these athletes destroy. The Pro Men closed the event, and the field was full of the leaders in the sport. The fans were ready. Jeremy Powers broke out, and won the event. That was exciting and all, but some of us were caught up with the air show that was happening on the 12 foot tabletop. Sometimes it’s worth signing up just to ride the obstacles. Good Night!
2013 Cinelli MASH SSCX Sep 20, 2012 Categories: MASH Frames 0 Comment Enclosed are some images of the 2013 Cinelli MASH SSCX we are currently showing at Interbike. If your visiting the show, please drop by, and see it for yourself. We see this bike being a really fun all around bike both on the streets, and in the dirt! The frame is spaced 100/120 so riders with track wheels can easily swap over to the Cross build. We wanted to produce a Cross bike that would support a broad range of componants, so you could add canto brakes, and tires and have a CX bike from parts you might already own from having track bikes. We have a few new Volee bar tapes coming out. This is a shield halftone in black/silver Next month we are releasing a security solution with Atomic 22. We will share more as the release draws closer. This is a detail of our Top Cap/ Bolt. These pieces are machined to the level we want to see on our bikes. Beautiful and bomb proof. DFL is photogenic, so see what you might have missed below! Derek won the the DFL opener last week, so he raced in yellow tonight. Brad and the DFL team have been so consistent on this series. We are all grateful for all they do to keep SF fun, and in the dirt. Blake commits in these races. New wig, new hose. Walton looking comfortable re-mounting in a skirt. Smiles from Steve. Derek Walton These race photos are always the best. Walton and Blake as Thelma and Louise. Walton won DFL #2, and will carry the yellow jersey to race #3. W! GM
