Cinelli produced an extension of our 2010 Histogram kit by offering a classic cycling cap. The printing process allows for a 360 degree design, and the art was built for this application. It really makes for playful colors under your helmet. Available on our storeroom, or wholesale shops can contact Cinelli.

Daniel is too tall for our current production sizes of the Cinelli MASH frame. We currently offer a 58, and hope to grow into a 60cm for 2011. In the meantime Cinelli sent him a 60cm steel frame to get his work done on. Let us know when you set it up, and how it fits. Thanks to the gang in Milan for keeping SF on top of our game.

Artoo posted up some cool quad cam photos from his ride this morning. Glad to see pack 1 made it in tact. Look for pack 2 later in the week!

To commemorate this years Tour De France, Garrett has spotlit his favorite cycling fan of all time. Dirk Hofman had a huge presence at this years tour finishes, and his simple signage promoting his motorhome rental business got prime real estate at many of the stage finishes. To continue Dirk’s effort, Garrett has meticulously re-created the signage used to promote this one man army that is Dirk Hofman Motorhomes. We will offer a VERY limited run of these shirts. Shipping Aug 10th 2010.

Since the beginning, Common Magazine has always been supportive of our project, and continues to offer original content to our support riders in Japan. For this issue they offer up six pages to revisit the Tour of California installation at Project Space.

We always include Common issues with our online store orders. Grab one before they are archived on the shelves of cyclists worldwide.

We really like this image of Rainier in the Stockton tunnel. Shout to HOC in the process!

GOOGLE IMAGES has a nice clean new look.

De La Paz Coffee Roasters is a specialty coffee roasting company located in San Francisco, Ca. They strive towards sourcing and offering the most exceptional coffees they can find. They make a point to reward their producers they work with for their high quality coffee. This in turn creates a sustainabilty model they are very proud to follow. The producers are rewarded with their relentlessly hard work with money that allows them to continue growing some of the best coffees in the world, and also improve their quality of life.

Last week I stopped by to visit, and brought my camera to photograph some details from their working environment. I’m not sure how bikes, and coffee became united in history, but there is no doubt they are related. De La Paz is a living example of this harmony.

Jason and Sharky were making notes about a new roast, and got a chance to see the details that go into each roast.

Sharky making some mental notes

They have tons of local pride all the way down to their roaster, with it’s nameplate reading ” The San Franciscan”

We have always enjoyed working with people in SF doing great things. This time around we produced a porcelain travel cup, and are offering it with a 3/4 pound bag of Ethiopia Moredocofe beans. We will be shipping once a week, the day of the roast. We look forward to sharing a little bit of SF with you!

Jason’s bag is well traveled.

The eco cup is a double walled, so heat does not transfer. It has a matte finish for a nice grip.

Check out their custom 20 inch Hunter cargo bike. All beans delivered fresh daily by bike.

Rob coasting between drop-offs.
Please check in with their blog, and pick up some beans, and this new travel cup.

Chas made great time. Top 3 for sure

Dave’s winter seat is year round

There was a shooting aspect to this event. Blake knows his way around a wrist rocket.

The park was landscaped on top of existing sand dunes, and the sand is still under there causing some loose trails.

Today racers from around the bay met up at Mosswood Park in Oakland, for an annual bay area tradition. The Rad Massaker is organized by Blake, and Ryan. Really thoughtful from design, to routing, to support. This race is one to never miss. Enclosed are some photos and video stills from todays event. Thanks to all the racers, organizers, and volunteers for hustling something great!

The 44 mile route covered Oakland, Berkeley, Albany, and Richmond.

Will Meeker came out and helped shoot with me today. Was really fun to chase these riders together.

Julien, Steve, and Chas making plans moments before the start.

Julian rips, This footage of him coming down from the mormon temple is mind blowing.

The last stretch of the climb to Point Richmond was a pitch.

The way back down was steep, skinny, and littered with riders running up with their bikes.

Chas nearing the finish.

Here is the route

One of the 4 cities hosting the race today.

The internet would love to hate on this bar/grip combo if it did not win so many races.

This wiener did the whole 44 miles, sleeping half the time.

Thanks to Ryan and Blake for offering the Bay Area such a buttoned up annual event.

Telling a story in 10 frames comes from shooting 6X7. That is how many moments you get on a roll of 120.

This racer did not get to start due to a car in a hurry to get to jack in the box. He was ok, and can now add couplers to make it a travel bike.

Grass Green Broakland

There were some athletes using the same park to train for burning man.

Was fun swapping stories, and looking at clips from along the route.

Chas won 1st Mens, and 1st fixed. Serious achievement on a track bike. Will post the complete results once they are updated. Check their site for more news.

Like every year, the organizers round up some amazing bounty. Chas took home a custom NemPro street fighter frame.

Garrett is currently in Colorado, and got a chance to attack Loveland Pass. 12k feet of elevation. Your gonna kill at sea level when you get back!!!

Walton has been stacking some points in Portland this summer. Really psyched seeing him grow as a cyclist. Portland is rad, Tons of races, no photos!

Hernan has been crushing in LA!!
He earned first fixed at the DTLA LA Grand Prix Race #2

Blake and Ryan throw the largest street race in Northern California each year. Come out and get yours. The sponsors list is very long, so come out, and cruise, and still podium!

Hello!
Sorry to have been away from computer for a few weeks. After the LA show, we needed to catch up on our own work. MASH is very much made of friends getting together, making something real happen, then back to our own day jobs. We have heard from many of you, and your summer adventures, and look forward to seeing some photos of your journeys.
Walton has been winning races in portland big time. Rainier has been crushing at hellyer, and the crit series. Chas and Steve have been chalking up races in SF, including first/second in Global Gutz. Hernan has been placing on both coasts with recent races in SF, LA, and NY. Fergus won the SF leg of Fast Forward, and has been taking the season serious. Check in with these guys, and will update soon with more race results.
This weekend is the Quake City Rumble if your in town, definitely come out and race. This race has a long legacy with our city. Come be part of this tradition.

Fergus crushing

Last week I was looking at a better way to store hard drives in my office. 2003 was my transition from film tho digital capture, and instead of filling up film cabinets, I switched to filling drives. 2 per project, duplicated, and 1 set kept off site. They began to stack up, and realized they fit in a flat file drawer. So to the other photographers sitting on flat files. Hang on to them, they just got a second life.

Misha sent some photos of his winter fun.

Wrong tool for the job kinda fun. Walton and Blake are big fans of Perks, and they are working on some magic together. Look for some new art this fall!
